December Toy Drive Recap

This December, Neighborhood Vitality had the privilege of hosting two community toy drives, bringing joy, generosity, and holiday spirit to hundreds of local children and families.
Both toy drives featured a special guest—Santa Claus—who helped create memorable moments for children and families throughout the weekend. Smiles, laughter, and excitement filled each space as families gathered to celebrate the season together.
Our Newburgh toy drive was especially festive, offering free popcorn for attendees and made possible through the generous support of Mayor Torrance Harvey, whose sponsorship helped strengthen the event’s community impact.
Across both locations, Neighborhood Vitality was able to distribute toys to approximately 300 children over the course of the weekend. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters and volunteers, the impact didn’t stop there. Any remaining toys were donated to a local children’s home, extending the reach of this effort beyond the events themselves.

These toy drives were a powerful reminder of what’s possible when communities come together with a shared purpose. Neighborhood Vitality is grateful to everyone who volunteered, donated, partnered, and showed up to help make the holidays brighter for so many children.
Moments like these reflect our commitment to building strong, connected neighborhoods—during the holidays and all year long.
